The Hazy Lazy Days of August

Well the hunts are in full swing, the move has finally happened and it's almost mid-August. Time to start preparing for our events for next month.

We have the traffic now coming into the sim, and our goal now is to promote our events so that we can continue to bring others back and perhaps have this family start to grow.

Around the 20th of August, I will be working through our family group and starting to clean out those who are not active and who are no longer interested in being part of our growing family. I hold no ill will towards anyone, but we finally have things going good and it's time to have the family grow.

This month is a rather hectic month, with the Poppy Hunt well underway and the upcoming Freaky Fall that we have taken over for Mesha. But the home continues to grow with little drama, it's nice to see everyone getting along, shame it could not have always been like that.

Keep your eyes open and checking back for the event calendar for next month.

Traffic

Crimson Castle has finally got its 1st hunt underway on the 1st August! The amount of people visiting the sim has trebled with bargain hunters flooding in to find the 1st poppy bag in the poppy hunt at Bleeding Rose designs. Every time i visit its packed full fo people wandering about the sim.

And beside the hunt Lyria has with much time spent setting it up got the Lucky Fish in at the 7seas lake, and this has brought a steady stream of people in too.

Besides that we have a few shops which are slowly being rented out and they too are bringing in people to the sim. Got to the point where we've re jigged the market square to make it more appealing to visitors and vendors hoping a few will come in and rent some space.

The main source of the traffic im sure will be the chicken market with the recent sim wide egg hunt. That brought in aload of farmers searching for free chickens and eggs. Hopefully some saw our chicken market and will open a stall there or at least return to buy from its vendors.

We have a lady called Tivs who is running the chicken market with some big ideas and keen as mustard to make it a success, so im sure it will be heaving soon with people. Already many of the stalls have been rented and a steady influx - all be it lower than we hoped of people looking to buy.

The final part is the spell fire fighting arena so far this is still being set up and im looking forward to taking part in the battles. Legion Mistwalker is the man behind this baby and it is slowly growing too.

All in all making a sim is alot of fun but the hard work is getting people in to see what you've done there. Makes me wonder how many great sims there must be in SL which are hidden away and like us the owners are trying everything to draw the crowds in.
